The Grove is known as a premier wedding venue in Northern New Jersey. Over the years, the breathtaking space has collected plenty of awards from the WeddingWire, The Knot, Yelp, and New Jersey Bride. At The Grove, every detail is accounted for.
Opening its doors in 2011, the Grove was founded by a family with over 45 years in the food industry. By offering a mix of customizable options, supreme attention to detail, and an unforgettable guest experience, the Grove quickly rose to the top and is considered one of the best wedding venues in New Jersey. Located in the heart of Cedar Grove, NJ, this wedding venue is just outside of New York City. The Grove is right down the main street of Cedar Grove, making it close to many shops and small businesses.
While the Grove is known for its classical yet modern style, there is history located right on the premise. In 1771, the quaint cottage was built. The historic building can be found next to the main building. Registered with the National Library of Congress, the house is one of the oldest in the country. For weddings, the cottage can be used as a “day of” get-ready space. Inside, you’ll find fireplaces, a bridal suite, a dining room, and a full kitchen.
As New Jersey photographers, the Grove is known for the historic cottage and upscale main building full of stunning photo opportunities on-site at the Grove. One of the most notable spots is the astounding lobby. A picture on the large symmetrical staircase with the one-of-a-kind chandelier is a must. The grand foyer features tall windows with antique-looking furniture that add even more romance to your wedding photos.
While the interior of the main building is grand and luxurious, the cottage is the spot to have simpler, naturally lit wedding pictures. Wedding portraits around the outside gardens feature aged-stone walls in the background. The pathway leading to the front door of the historic house is another serene backdrop.
For even more greenery in your photos, there are manicured gardens and trees surrounding the premise. Especially during the summer, you’ll be able to capture the bright and colorful flowers around the buildings.
The magic continues inside the ballroom. The Grove’s elegance can truly be captured here. High ceilings allowed us to capture different angles of the commodious room with a lot of gorgeous chandeliers.
The Grove venue specializes in Glatt Kosher, Indian, and same-sex weddings. The grand space can host elegant and bright ceremonies indoors or outdoors. Outdoors, you’ll see the historic 18th-century farmhouse that has seven impressive rooms, perfect for the full wedding party to get ready. The historic house makes a great space for other family members to hang out in or for an evening cocktail hour. Right outside the cottage is where the outdoor ceremony can take place.
Once you walk through the entrance of the main building, the unique and extravagant chandelier catches your eye. The marble flooring, stately furniture, and ornate staircase add charm to the lobby. Up the stairs, you’ll find they are extra-large bridal suites, making you feel like royalty.
The grand ballroom features a grand staircase that starts from the bridal suite and leads down to the dance floor, perfect for making a dramatic entrance. The opulent space can sit up to 700 guests under the numerous sparkling crystal chandeliers. The moveable walls in the room can be configured in three different ways, also allowing for smaller parties to feel closer.
When designing the Grove, they definitely did not hold back on the bathrooms. Luxury is an understatement, decorated with chandeliers, over 5 separate mirrors with chairs, and spacious areas to decompress during the party.
The architecture and décor at The Grove truly make you feel like your wedding is out of a storybook. But your story wouldn’t be complete without food that can be considered a culinary masterpiece. The Grove’s in-house chef is renowned for its world-class menu which is different depending on the client.
The Grove only holds one wedding at a time and can accommodate parties from 150 to 700 guests. It can be rare to find a grandeur venue like this that allows for under 200 guests. Whether your wedding is intimate or momentous, each detail can be customized.
The timeline, rehearsal, reception, after-party, and everything else that comes with a wedding are all under your control with the help of the on-site wedding planner. To make your day even more personalized, you can select the décor, sweetheart chairs, and choose where the movable stages and bars are located.
The Grove’s dedicated hospitality does its best to ensure all your wishes come true on your big day. When taking your wedding day photos, the Grove can even assign staff to hold up your long dress trail and ensure that it stays pristine. The world-class chefs will also design a menu to fit your tastes and culture.
